Swanfield (Hamels) Ltd was incorporated in 1961, its founder shareholders being drawn primarily from the Leach family. That link has been maintained to this day with all members of our board also sitting on the Board of Directors of Hubert C Leach Ltd. This continuity of control ensures that the standards that have established a tradition of high standing and respectability within the industry are upheld.

Swanfield and Leach Homes have over 75 years development experience and are fortunate to jointly occupy a magnificent Head Office at Hamels Mansion near Buntingford, Hertfordshire.

There have already been two phases in the evolution of Swanfield. The first, in the 70's and 80's involved the development of an impressive array of purpose built offices, factories and warehouses. The second involved the acquisition, development and operation of the renowned five star Hanbury Manor Hotel Golf and Country Club.
